Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “I’ve Been Called” (By God) To Be Arkansas Governor

Posted by Warm Southern Breeze on Wednesday, November 27, 2019

Recently, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the once-and-former White House mouthpiece-Press Secretary for the Liar in Chief, Current White House Occupant Donald J. Trumpanzee, and daughter of Arkansas Preacher-Governor POTUS-wannabe Mike Huckabee, a Republican, had a sit-down interview with the Associated Press and New York Times in the quaint little state capitol town of Little Rock.

As described by New York Times writer Annie Karnie, (aka “the failing New York Times,” as POS45 says – of course, this is all “fake news, folks… fake news”) she and Sanders had breakfast tacos, and obliquely suggested at what she has plans to do in 2023 when current Republican Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson’s term is complete.

“I think there are two types of people that run for office: people that are called and people that just want to be somebody, that want a title. I feel like in some ways, I’ve already hit a pretty good political title.

“If I do, it will because I feel called to do it and because I feel I can offer something to the state and I can do something to help move the state further ahead and grow it in a positive way and I fit what the state needs at that time.”

–Note that Huckabee Sanders said “… I feel called” only AFTER she said “I feel like in some ways, I’ve already hit a pretty good political title.” In other words, she acknowledged that she sought -and- obtained/attained the very thing that she purported to disdain in her comment – selfish self-seeking. AGAIN, such is par for the Trump course.

“There are two types of people who run for office. People that are called and people that just want to be a senator or governor. I feel like I’ve been called.”

“It’s the role I’ve been pushed into. I wouldn’t want to do that if I wasn’t the right person to fit what the state needed at that time.”

Her Battles With the Press Corps Behind Her, Sanders Plans a Political Future
“President Trump’s former press secretary has returned to Arkansas a bona fide star eager to play a new role in a post-Trump Republican Party.”

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, admitted that a statement she made after the firing of James B. Comey was not founded on any facts.

Ms. Sanders paused. “I don’t like being called a liar,” she said. “The other stuff bothered me far less.”
Sanders’s ‘Slip of the Tongue’ Would Be a Problem in Some White Houses. Not Trump’s.

“Sanders told reporters then that “countless” FBI agents lost confidence in Comey. She later admitted to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s prosecutors that she made misstatements to the media, which she called a “slip of the tongue” at the time.”

UPDATED ADDENDUM NOTE 28November 2019:
The pertinent excerpt from the “Mueller Report” to which the above-referenced item (Sarah Huckabee Sanders: ‘I Don’t Like Being Called a Liar’) refers is found in Volume 2, Page 72 which reads in pertinent part that,

“In the afternoon of May 10, 2017, deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders spoke to the President about his decision to fire Comey and then spoke to reporters in a televised press conference.478 Sanders told reporters that the President, the Department of Justice, and bipartisan members of Congress had lost confidence in Comey, “[a]nd most importantly, the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director. Accordingly, the President accepted the recommendation of his Deputy Attorney General to remove James Comey from his position.”479In response to questions from reporters, Sanders said that Rosenstein decided “on his own” to review Comey’s performance and that Rosenstein decided “on his own” to come to the President on Monday, May 8 to express his concerns about Comey. When a reporter indicated that the “vast majority” of FBI agents supported Comey, Sanders said, “Look, we’ve heard from countless members of the FBI that say very different things.”480 Following the press conference, Sanders spoke to the President, who told her she did agood job and did not point out any inaccuracies in her comments.481 Sanders told this Office that her reference to hearing from “countless members of the FBI” was a “slip of the tongue.”482She also recalled that her statement in a separate press interview that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey was a comment she made “in the heat of the moment” that was not founded on anything.483”

If you lie, you’re a liar – no ‘ifs,’ ‘ands,’ or ‘buts’ – period.

And, she lied. Therefore, she’s a liar. It’s just that simple.

Is she a chronic, or habitual liar like her former boss POS45? Well… if you lie for a liar, what does that make you? It’s really not that hard to figure out.

These people are dangerous.

“Feel like I’ve been called”?
Really?

Exactly what does that “feel” like?

Does it tickle your fancy?

What does the “call” sound like?

Is it Long Distance Calling? Was it a Collect Call? A cellular call? Perhaps it was a land line call? Maybe a satellite call? Was it a secure connection? Was it a teleconference call? Who listened in on that call? Who took notes?

Seriously. What’s with this nonsensical “calling” monkey business, eh?

Those nutjobs are hearing voices in their heads, and it’s not because they’re using a Bluetooth earpiece.

And as I have long maintained, the right-wing extremists, religious whackos know better than you, they know what their god wants you to do, and that you should obey their god… and – by god – they’re gonna’ make you obey, or they’ll make sure you have hell to pay.

What was the chance of Trump winning? He was called and he answered the call and is the only president in history that works for free against a bunch of the fake media that doesnt report the outstanding accomplishments he has made. I think Sarah will do the same where ever she goes as well.

      I demur.

Even a broken clock is correct twice daily.

Statistically, it was probably Trump’s time. But, as some have observed and remarked, we get the president we deserve.

It’s not that we can’t do better, it’s that we have become complacent, and in large part, it is my estimation that until the people can find their backbone and FIGHT, we will increasingly become undertrodden by the bigoted boots of incompetent, lying, dogmatic, xenophobic, chronic lying segregationist racists like Trump and his putrefied ilk who, with open arms, welcome hatred and White Supremacists like Stephen Miller into the hallowed halls of guiding governance, allow them seats at the Resolute Desk, and curry favor with the enemies of freedom, and justice.

Those who, in Federal government in Congress or agency, support him, do so out of fear, and remain silent also in fear, while those who voted for him believed his lies. And it is precisely for those reasons I weep for my brothers and sisters who are deluded by his consistent lies. It wasn’t as if we the people didn’t know his lack of character, or any other aspect of his wretchedly miserable existence.

A line from the Bob Seger song “Night Moves” perfectly exemplifies the GOP’s relationship with Trump:

“I used her, she used me. But neither one cared.”

Oh… and POTUSes Herbert Hoover, and John F. Kennedy both donated their salaries to charity, so POS45’s claim that he is the first and only one who has done so is not only self-serving narcissistic aggrandizing, but is a damn lie. But then again, that’s par for his course.

so if they think God is talking to them…they also have to entertain the idea it is satan impersonating God.

      Excellent point, Larry!

Here are two admonitions that immediately come to mind:

1.) “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1 (NIV)

      -and-

2.) “… for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NIV)

I remain firmly convinced that many have been deceived into supporting the Current White House Occupant, in large part because of this reason:

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Timothy 4:3 (NIV)

Now, I should also note this:
In NO WAY am I a “Bible Thumper,” but I damn well know my way around its pages.

      ADDENDUM UPDATE 12-1-2019 8:02PM CST:
I should also add that Jesus the Christ had some VERY harsh words for those same individuals, to wit:

“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.” Matthew 23:2-4 (NIV)

      -and-

“And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.” Luke 11:46 (NIV)

Kinda’ reminds me of a poem by Edgar A. Guest (1881-1959), who penned that, I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day.
