I wouldn’t have believed it had I not read it for myself from the official Congressional website.
U.S. Representative Martha Roby, a Republican from Alabama’s 2d Congressional District has introduced H.R. 1406, officially named the “Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013” which would END the requirement of the Fair Labor Standards Act for employers to pay Time-and-a-Half to employees for every hour worked over 40 in one week.

For many years, I have studied dreams. And, as a part of that ongoing study, I have recorded my own dreams and “worked” them. That is, I have pondered the symbolic elements of the dream to use as a guide to my understanding of the events in my waking life.
To be certain, dreams are a fantastical world, where the realities of life are surreal, where the laws of physics, of cause and effect, are not merely suspended, but are often elastic or even absent.

Recently, I had the pleasure to revisit with a good friend, and we shared pleasantries, and updated each other on our lives. For several hours, we had a genuinely pleasant time.
My friend has dual citizenship – that is, he is a citizen of the United States and of another nation. He is also an entrepreneur.
What he shared with me gave me serious pause for thought – however, it wasn’t as if I had never seriously considered the implications of the subject he addressed. The subject was about the American economy.
