Dear Georgia GOP voters,
I beseech you:
DO NOT
— DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT —
VOTE FOR CHARLES MANSON!!
‘Oh… but Charles Manson isn’t up for election, and in fact, he’s dead,’ you may say. ‘Besides, he’s a killer,’ perhaps you might add.
You’re only partially correct.
And as you recall, being “partially correct” is being ENTIRELY WRONG.
Charles Manson IS dead, but his spirit lives on… in Herschel Walker.
Here’s how.
First, Charles Manson NEVER killed anyone;
-and-
Secondly, Charles Manson NEVER ordered anyone to be killed.
Yup.
That’s correct.
Charles Manson NEVER killed anyone.
If you don’t recall, you need to familiarize yourself with that case.
Charles Manson’s conviction was one of history’s most stupendous criminal convictions, and a monumental achievement for the rule of law because of that fact. And the lead Prosecutor — Vincent Bugliosi (now deceased) is to be commended endlessly for his accomplishment to keep the People of California safe from Charles Manson’s wickedly wry predations, which was his innate ability to manipulate and control people.
There is NO ONE (no one in their proper mind, that is) who for even a microsecond, thinks that Charles Manson was in his proper mind. For he most certainly was NOT.
Neither is Hershel Walker.
And to be certain, Read the rest of this entry »

The actions of Banana Republicans in the House that did NOT vote to impeach President Donald J. Trump a SECOND time, are simply mind-numbing.
Here, we have a President ON VIDEO TAPE who:
1.) Encouraged and invited rioters to come to Washington, D.C. SPECIFICALLY on January 6, 2021 in order to “stop the steal” writing on Twitter December 19, 2020 that “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”
-AND-
2.) Though his deliberately provocative rhetoric, incited a riotously violent insurrection in which the thousands upon thousands of Trump2020 mobsters there present stormed and laid siege to the Capitol Building and deliberately disrupted a Joint Session of Congress in which the Electoral College Votes were being counted to certify Joseph R. Biden as the President-elect
A transcript and video of Trump’s remarks at that “Save America” rally may be found here:

United States Senator from Tennessee, Lamar Alexander
Tennessee’s United States Senator, Lamar Alexander (b.1940), a 3-term Republican who is retiring this year, recently said of his decision to vote to acquit the President in the Impeachment Trial of Donald J. Trump, that, “I’m going to vote to acquit. I’m very concerned about any action that we could take that would establish a perpetual impeachment in the House of Representatives whenever the House was a different party than the president. That would immobilize the Senate.”
Alexander’s remarks were made in an interview on the NBC News program “Meet the Press” which aired Sunday, 02 February 2020.
He had previously issued a press release 30 January 2020, which stated in part that,
“It was inappropriate for the president to ask a foreign leader to investigate his political opponent and to withhold United States aid to encourage that investigation. When elected officials inappropriately interfere with such investigations, it undermines the principle of equal justice under the law. But Read the rest of this entry »

Despite his increasingly bizarre and contemptuous behavior, and bull-in-the-china-shop approach to almost everything, I could support perhaps a few of the President’s efforts and positions, and, I could even overlook some of his behaviors as merely eccentric, quirky, or even slightly off-kilter –– much like his well-known penchant for ketchup on steak.
But increasingly, his ill-advised actions – like publicly posting TOP SECRET surveillance satellite images of our enemies’ military efforts (even though as Commander In Chief he had the absolute right to do so), and meeting with despotic totalitarian Korean ruler-family killer Kim Jong-Un, and scheduling a secret peace talk summit at Camp David with arch enemies the al-Qaeda friendly Taliban 2 days before the 18th anniversary of 9/11 – are placing America at risk with our enemies.
That’s beside his unilaterally-imposed Trade War with China, Mexico, and Canada which continues damaging American families, farmers and industry, and diversion of monies meant for the Military, Coast Guard, TSA, and FEMA to Read the rest of this entry »

“The murders were probably the most bizarre in the recorded annals of American crime. I’ve often said that if these murders had never happened and someone had written a novel, with the same set of facts and circumstances, you’d probably put it down after a couple of pages. Because to be good fiction, as I understand it — unless it’s science fiction — it’s got to be somewhat believable, and this is just too far out.”
– Vincent Bugliosi (1934-2015), Los Angeles County District Attorney, Chief Prosecutor in the Charles Manson trial, to NPR in 2009
Some years ago, during Mental Health Clinical Rotations, I was impressed with the insidious nature of severe mental health problems, which often masquerade as mere quirks, eccentricities, or peculiarities of character. In that sense, I think Southerners are more adept at denial of mental health problems than others in regions throughout the United States. We often laugh and joke about “Old Spinster Miss So-And-So,” “the Crazy Cat Lady,” or “Old Man Mozz” who for years has lived by himself.
And yet sometimes, we’re shocked at what we do NOT see, which when given opportunities to see “behind the scenes,” observation provides confirmation and undeniable proof-positive of mental health problems.
I recall in particular some time ago in which a friend and his wife had Read the rest of this entry »

Let’s see… Paul Ryan‘s resume should read 1.) Career Politician; 2.) Hypocrite.
He took Social Security survivor’s benefits money after his daddy died, and has only briefly held one job – Oscar Mayer Weinermobile driver – during the summers – much less then a year. Other than that, he’s been involved in politics. No private sector job. And the whole irony of the matter is that Mitt Romney is on the record as saying that his running mate should have a minimum of business experience (not that it matters, because he’s publicly contradicted himself so many times).
However, a few months ago Mitt did suggest that we ought to change the constitution so that “the president has to spend three years working in business before he becomes president of the United States. Then he or she would understand that the policies they are putting into place have to encourage small business to grow.”
Of course, that would have disqualified former Republican President Dwight David Eisenhower (34th President of the United States from 1953 until 1961), who was a career Army Officer, and rose to the rank of Supreme Allied Commander during WWII, and then retired shortly thereafter the war’s conclusion.

Tom Morello: ‘Paul Ryan Is the Embodiment of the Machine Our Music Rages Against’
Rage Against the Machine‘s guitarist blasts Romney’s VP pick and unlikely Rage fan
August 16, 2012 6:44 PM ET
Last week, Mitt Romney picked Paul Ryan, the Republican architect of Congress’s radical right-wing budget plan, as his running mate. Ryan has previously cited Rage Against the Machine as one of his favorite bands. Rage guitarist Tom Morello responds in this exclusive op-ed.
Paul Ryan’s love of Rage Against the Machine is amusing, because he is the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades. Charles Manson loved the Beatles but didn’t understand them. Governor Chris Christie loves Bruce Springsteen but doesn’t understand him. And Paul Ryan is clueless about his favorite band, Rage Against the Machine.
