"… there is no such thing as nothing."

Big Brother is NOT the Government, it’s CORPORATIONS

Yeah… it’s fixin’ to get POLITICAL — as in ALL UP IN YO’ BIZNISS!

Almost EVERYONE complains about Congress, but not everyone votes. Some don’t for religious reasons, some don’t because that RIGHT has been voided by the government, others just don’t give a shit because they say “no one listens to me, anyway,” and for the greatest part, they’re correct. With a Representative-to-People ratio of 1-to-766,000, there’s no question — you’re NOT being heard, and they don’t care… or else ongoing & necessary would’ve happened long ago.

BUT!

There IS a group(s) who ARE listening to & watching you… all WITHOUT your knowledge.

You could call them “Big Brother,” but it’s NOT the government… it’s private enterprise — corporations not only in America, but worldwide.

Yeah.

You see, I habitually use a VPN service for security purposes while browsing the Internet, whether reading research, news, or sending email, etc. If I’m on the ‘net, the VPN is on. Essentially, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a security feature that makes it appear as if the origination of the request for service is coming from another location. In my case, I choose Canada, though there are numerous other nations globally where the VPN’s servers are located.

Point being, is that Canada, the EU, and other nations have long had laws PROTECTING their residents’/citizens’ privacy. And, they’re QUITE SERIOUS about that matter.

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-protection-eu_en) is comprehensive privacy legislation that applies across sectors, and to companies of all sizes, which governs how personal data of individuals in the EU may be processed and transferred, and went into effect May 25, 2018. It imposes obligations onto organizations anywhere, so long as they target or collect data related to people in the EU. It is the toughest, and most comprehensive privacy and security law in the world.

In stark contrast, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506) which became effective 21 April 2000, applies ONLY to “an individual under the age of 13,” and the online collection of personal information by persons or entities under U.S. jurisdiction about children under 13 years of age, including children outside the U.S.

Here in America, we allow our politicians to give lip service (if any kind of service, but more like “disservice”) to us. They’re the patsies and lapdogs for corporations — NOT servants of We The People.

Screen Recording showing setting cookies from just ONE visit to just ONE site for just ONE item.

So, while reading a science-related news item (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-03-30/never-had-covid-you-may-hold-key-to-beating-the-virus), I thought to make a screen recording to show you just EXACTLY HOW MANY “cookies” and other such junk are set by the “average” website from JUST ONE VISIT.

So again, you’d prolly be surprised at just EXACTLY HOW MUCH is known about you by corporations.

That “Alexa” so-called “smart speaker” thing?

It’s a listening device that’s ALWAYS ON… and listening to YOU.

Oh yeah.

It’s NOT a joke, it’s NOT hyperbole, it’s NOT exaggeration.

But Congress has REFUSED TO ACT.

The time to change our Congress will be coming up soon (as it has every 2 years since the first Congressional election in 1788), and we DESPERATELY need to!
