How To Quickly Vaccinate Everyone

This morning, bright and early around 0300 (that was the timestamp upon it, I was blissfully asleep then), I received an email from a friend and his better half whom are expats in Kitahiroshima on the island prefecture of Hokkaido, in northernmost Japan, near where her parents reside.

He wrote in part that “Vaccinations for coronavirus have started here but only for those with the highest priority (which makes sense).”

In that message, he also included a copy of an email communique from the United States Department of State which read in part, “The United States Government does not plan to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to private U.S. citizens overseas.”

In my reply, I wrote in part,

“Did they kiss you before they screwed you?
“That is just SO UNIMAGINABLE!
“Now, you’re a Second Class citizen!
“You’re paying taxes and get nothing in return.”

This whole damn COVID thing is one giant effed up mess.

Of course, at this point, we’re only 41 days into a new administration from 4 years of really effed up administration and Federal government… and some state governments, as well.

States are playing with their sit-n-spin, while the people wonder when their elected officials will STOP being so grotesquely myopic.

Here’s an idea about getting folks vaccinated – the “mechanics” of it.

Simply tell EVERYONE without regard to any other factor,

“Hey, y’all! We’re starting COVID vaccinations! Call, or go online today to make your appointment! We’ll be open from 7AM to 7PM, and we’ll even be serving hot tea, coffee, and cocoa! Bring a carfull! You can even stay in your car! Bring some form of government-issued ID, and we’ll see you there!”

Of course, in the mean time (or simultaneously), we’re getting the old folks’ home residents (who don’t get out-and-about) vaxxed up, as well.

No more “who has priority?” idiotic nonsense.

If you want it, come and get it.

Various news reports have stated that in some cases, some folks have said that they don’t want it. They were prolly scared off by the previous White House Occupant, who, news reports today – 01 March 2021 – have indicated, actually did get the vaccine, along with his wife, before he departed the premises.

Wouldn’t that be a whole lot better?

It’d sure as hell be faster!

But hey… WTF do I know, eh?
