Mitch McConnell: Georgia Representative MT-headed Greene “cancer for the Republican Party.”

Posted by Warm Southern Breeze on Monday, February 1, 2021

“Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country. Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying it school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky issued a short statement Monday night that didn’t directly mention Georgia’s Banana Republican MT-headed Greene by name, but left no mistake that he wrote about her exclusively.

Hey, you ignorant Kentucky hillbilly!

Read your history.

In 1964 at the Republican National Convention, New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller reminded the delegates that he warned over a year earlier that the party was in danger of being infiltrated by radical elements, such as the Ku Klux Klan, Communists, John Birch Society members, racist Dixiecrats, White Supremacists who used Nazi-like tactics, and other such ilk. By the time of the convention, it already had been.

So the GOP is now “all grown up.”

Here’s in part what then-New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller said to the delegates:

“The Republican Party fully respects the contribution of responsible criticism, and defends the right of dissent in the democratic process. But we repudiate the efforts of irresponsible, extremist groups, such as the Communists, the Ku Klux Klan, the John Birch Society and others, to discredit our Party by their efforts to infiltrate positions of responsibility in the Party, or to attach themselves to its candidates.”

Precisely one year ago today on July 14, 1964 [sic], I issued a statement wherein I warned that:

“The Republican party is in real danger of subversion by a radical, well-financed and highly disciplined minority.”

•  Infiltration and take-over of established political organizations by Communist and Nazi methods.

These extremists feed on fear, hate and terror. They have no program for America – no program for the Republican party. They have no solution for our problems of chronic unemployment, of education of agriculture, or racial injustice or strife.

These extremists have no plan and no program to keep the peace and bring freedom to the world.

On the contrary – they spread distrust. They engender suspicion. They encourage disunity. And they operate from the dark shadows of secrecy.

In essence, your formerly “Grand Old Party” – the once-and-former “Party of Lincoln” – is all grown up now.

Don’t you like it?

Numerous former high-ranking administration officials and prominent party members were last seen jumping off the sinking C.S.S. Banana Republican, among whom are:

“The Republican Party as I knew it no longer exists. I’d call it the cult of Trump.”
–– Jimmy Gurulé, former Undersecretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence in the George W. Bush administration

“The number [of GOP defectors] is growing every day.”
–– Kristopher Purcell, former Bush White House’s communications officer, who said between 60-70 former Bush administration officials are leaving the GOP

Over HALF of ALL Republicans in Congress – 8 Senators and 139 members of the House of Representatives – voted to block certification of the election mere hours after Trump’s Terrorists laid siege to the Capitol, and interrupted a Constitutionally-mandated exercise of responsibility and duty -and- most Republican Senators have also indicated they would not support the impeachment of Donald J. Trump on the charge of “Incitement of Insurrection.”

“If it continues to be the party of Trump, many of us are not going back. Unless the Senate convicts him, and rids themselves of the Trump cancer, many of us will not be going back to vote for Republican leaders.”
–– Rosario Marin, former Treasurer of the U.S. under G.W. Bush

“I totally understand why people are frustrated and want to leave the party. I’ve had that feeling for 4 years.”
–– Suzy DeFrancis, long-time Republican Party member who served in the Richard Nixon and George W. Bush administrations, and said she voted for Biden

It’s the…
