GET READY!
Coronavirus is very likely coming to your town!
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, MD, is the Director of the Center for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) of the CDC, held a press conference about coronavirus February 3, 2020, and said in part, that,
“We expect we will see community spread in this country.
It’s not so much a question of if this will happen any more, but the rather more correct question to be asking is, ‘When this will happen and how many people in this country will have severe illness?’“
Coronavirus/COVID19 deaths = 2700 (and counting)

Dr. Nancy Messonnier, MD, is the Director of the Center for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) at the CDC.
SARS deaths = 774 (per CDC)
MERS deaths = 858 (per WHO)
SARS+MERS = 1632
Remember when Trump said, “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be fine.”?
He also said, “We do have a plan, and we think it’s going to be handled very well. I think China’s in very good shape also.”
He was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland January 22, 2020, and was interviewed by Joe Kernen of NBC’s Squawk Box program when he said “we have it totally under control.”
He said further that, “We do have a plan and we think it is going to be handled very well. We’ve already handled it very well. The CDC is terrific. Very professional.”
He later said to reporters that, “we do have a plan… China’s in very good shape also” before a meeting with Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, also while in Davos.
An increase from 1 to 53 is a 5200% INCREASE.
Would you say that’s “totally under control,” or not?
Here’s the verbatim transcript of pertinent portion of the Squawk Box interview:
JOE KERNEN: It was a couple of years ago. Before we get started– with- we’re going talk about the economy and a lot of other things–the CDC– has identified a case of coronavirus– in Washington state. The Wuhan strain of this. If you remember SARS, that affected GDP. Travel-related effects. Do you– have you been briefed by the CDC? And–
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I have, and–
JOE KERNEN: –are there worries about a pandemic at this point?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: No. Not at all. And– we’re– we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s—going to be just fine.

And now…
The CDC is reporting that, so far, there are 14 CONFIRMED cases of coronavirus in the United States, but there are 39 ADDITIONAL cases from people who were repatriated to the USA from Wuhan, China, and the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship.
The WHO (World Health Organization) has released their daily update on COVID19 (Situation Report 36) and states that there are 53 NEW cases in the USA.
Globally, the WHO reports there are 80,239 confirmed coronavirus cases, 908 which are new.
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, MD, Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said the CDC expects to see more coronavirus/COVID19 cases in the U.S.
Dr. Messonnier said that, “We expect to find additional cases of novel coronavirus infection in the United States. We expect to see more cases of person-to-person spread among close contacts.
“We expect we will see community spread in this country. It’s not so much a question of if this will happen any more, but the rather more correct question to be asking is, ‘When this will happen and how many people in this country will have severe illness?’“
“The data over the last week in the spread in other countries has certainly raised our level of concern and raised our level of expectation that we are going to have community spread here.”
“As more and more countries experience community spread, successful containment at our borders becomes harder and harder.
”We are preparing as if this were the next pandemic.”
