Trump wants GA Rep. Doug Collins for DNI?

Representative Doug Collins (GA-9, R) of Gainesville, is the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

Numerous reports have stated that POS45 is considering Georgia’s U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, a Republican of Gainesville to become the next Director of National Intelligence.

But Collins has publicly rejected that idea, and said to Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network on Friday, 21 February 2020 that, “this is not a job that interests me; at this time it’s not one that I would accept because I’m running a Senate race down here in Georgia.” Mr. Collins made his candidacy announcement January 29, 2020.

Mr. Collins’ decision to focus his efforts on a campaign against Sen. Kelly Loeffler, a wealthy Republican business woman appointed by Republican Governor Brian Kemp in December, has caused consternation among the National Republican Senatorial Committee, a non-governmental private organization which stated purpose is “devoted to strengthening the Republican Senate Majority and electing Republicans to the United States Senate.”

Sworn into office in January by VP Pence in a private ceremony, she will fulfill the unexpired term created by Johnny Isakson’s (R) resignation halfway into his 3rd term because of health problems related to his diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease.

The Loeffler/Collins Senate campaign, which has become increasingly bitter, will culminate in a November Special Election will determine who will finish out Isakson’s term of office.

OF COURSE COLLINS WOULD HAVE REJECTED ANY SUCH OFFER FROM PO45!!

Why?

Because he KNOWS that if he accepted the job, POS45 could fire him, too!

And he just wants to ride that taxpayer-funded Gravy Train.
