Even MORE Famous Last Words

“You all just got a lot richer.”

– POTUS Donald Trump, to friends Friday night, December 22, 2017 at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, FL, after signing his tax cut bill, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (P.L. 115-97)

In response, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders Tweeted that “At least Trump is finally telling the truth about his tax bill.”

The Congressional Research Service, a non-partisan, objective investigative branch of Congress, reported that the Trump tax cuts did not benefit the average American worker. Only $28 on average went to employees. “This amount is 2% to 3% of the corporate tax cut, and a smaller share of repatriated funds.” (ref.p14)

The Economic Effects of the 2017 Tax Revision: Preliminary Observations
Updated June 7, 2019

And before that, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, found that almost 1/3 of the benefits in Trump’s tax cut plan would go to the wealthiest 1% of Americans in 2018, and their Analysis of the House Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, published November 6, 2017, found that “nearly a third would go to the richest one percent in 2018, and by 2027 that fraction would rise to nearly half.”

Corporate Greed is killing not only the American dream, but is slowly killing the American economy itself, and this President, and his administration are handily helping it along, without regard to the Average American Family, and Middle Class America.
