Donald Trump isn’t America’s asshole.

Donald Trump isn’t America’s asshole.

Donald Trump is America’s hemorrhoid.

As a demonstration about how much (or little) attendees of America’s Favorite Pastime think and feel about him, he was booed for quite some time, and lauded with chants of “Lock him up!” when he was shown on the in-stadium giant video screen, between the 3rd and 4th innings at Game 5 of the World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., October 27, 2019.

Of that occurrence, The Guardian wrote in part, that “That, perhaps, was predictable: Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and both Bushes were all booed while attending baseball games as President. What came shortly afterwards was a little more personal in a city that is heavily Democratic as cries of “Lock him up!” [and “Impeach Trump!” rang out at nearly 100 decibels loudness], a reference to the chants about Hillary Clinton used at Trump’s rallies in the run-up to the 2016 presidential elections.” Trump only won 4% of D.C.’s votes.

During the fifth inning, two men – Alan Pitts and Naveed Shah, both Iraq War veterans with Common Defense, a veterans’ group which opposes Trump administration policies – held up signs that read “Veterans for Impeachment” at their seats directly behind home plate. Mr. Pitts said, “Our oath didn’t end when we left active duty. We still defend it today, and Congress needs to do the same. They need to step up and hold the president accountable for his illegal and unconstitutional acts.”

Trump also knows that he’s almost universally disliked (a diplomatic word for “hated”), and acknowledged as much to Rob Manfred, Major League Baseball Commissioner, who said that Trump told him that he did not want to throw out the first pitch – a time-honored tradition for every president since 1910 – “in order to make the fan experience as positive as possible.”

The vainglorious narcissistic president was also “whimpering and crying and screaming all the way” like a little baby about wearing a bullet-proof vest while out in public by saying, “I don’t know. They gotta’ dress me up in a lot of heavy armor. I’ll look too heavy. I don’t like that.”

Since being elected, Trump has become a virtual hermit, and has rarely ventured outside the protective enclave of the White House, has not attended any sports events, not dined at any Washington area restaurants aside from those in his hotel, and has completely avoided equally time-honored social events such as the Kennedy Center Honors and the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

America, and the world, will rejoice when they too, can say of POS45, “He was a sick and depraved man, and now he’s gone.”

-and-

“My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over. Our Constitution works. Our great republic is a government of laws and not of men.”
