Deceit And Treachery Continue In #ALpolitics

In case you’ve been under a rock for the past 4 years or more, Alabama’s two-term Republican Governor Dr. Dr. Robert Bentley, M.D. was forced to resign from office amidst ongoing impeachment proceedings resulting from a sex & corruption scandal in which he significantly abused the power of the office for personal gain, then under pressure, and facing possible felony charges, entered a plea agreement in which he pled guilty to two misdemeanor campaign finance violations, agreed to other court-ordered stipulations including never again to “seek or serve in any public office,” pay fines & court costs, surrender campaign funds, render Community Service as a physician, submitted his resignation, whereupon Republican Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey – formerly State Treasurer – took office as Governess.

It seemed most everybody was happy as a lark.

Until…

Until those damn pesky reporters started snooping around the back door.

Then, it turns out, they found evidence that strongly suggests she isn’t in good health, and so much so to the extent that her ability to govern and think clearly may be called into question.

According to an investigative report and story by Josh Moon, a Journalist with Alabama Political Reporter, “Gov. Kay Ivey’s office declined to confirm on Thursday that she had been admitted to a Colorado hospital for “stroke-like” issues in April 2015, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency all but did.

“Numerous sources said Ivey spent four days in a Colorado hospital when she became ill during an Aerospace States Association convention. Ivey, then Lieutenant Governor, was the chairperson for the ASA that year and spoke during its annual meeting on April 17.

“On Thursday, a spokesperson for ALEA confirmed that Thomas “Drew” Brooks, one of the troopers who was part of Ivey’s security detail, filed for out-of-state travel reimbursement for the dates of April 15, 2015, through April 20, 2015.

“The conference ended on April 17.

“Several sources familiar with the incident told APR that Ivey was taken to the hospital in Colorado following a series of “mini-strokes” that left her disoriented and unable speak coherently for a brief period.

“Following the trip, those sources said, Brooks was warned not to report Ivey’s health issues to anyone, including his superiors. However, because it would have been a violation of protocol, Brooks ignored the directive and reported the incident to explain the unexpected length of his trip.”

To be certain, I have no kind, or remnant of soft feelings in my heart toward 99.9% of all Alabama Republicans, and many – if not most, or even all – Democrats in the Alabama State Legislature, either House or Senate, and equal, or greater contempt for most – if not all – elected executive level state offices. Despising Alabama’s political system and it’s players is just too easy. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

Almost EVERY ONE of the state’s problems can be DIRECTLY traced back to it’s racist, bloated, corrupt 1901 Constitution. And what does the Legislature do?

NOTHING.

Zero. Zilch. Nada.

And yet, that’s beside the point, which is that Governess Kay Ivey chose to conceal her serious health concerns from the state at large.

It’s not like she got a plantar wart removed from her foot, or had a bone set after a break, or even a routine colonoscopy. She was very likely having a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), which is a “mini-stroke”.

The very fact that she sought to conceal her condition is suspect.

And in conjunction with the fact that her hand-picked top advisors are hold-overs from the Bob Riley administration, and buddy-buddy with convicted felon, former Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard… it’s a marriage made in Hell.

That cunt is just as CORRUPT & INEPT as the rest of the gawddamn ALGOP Gangsters.

Remember that as Treasurer, she just about ran the Alabama Prepaid Affordable College Tuition (PACT) program into the ground, was the subject of a Class Action Lawsuit (Lisa Nix Green, et.al v. Kay Ivey, et.al) because of it, which also required expen$ive legislative intervention (TRANSLATION: Taxpayer Bailout) to save, and which was finally settled <2yrs ago, in July 2015.

The Lisa Nix Green, et.al v. Kay Ivey, et.al litigation was filed on January 7, 2010, and was certified as a Class Action December 13, 2010. Mediation began April 14, 2011.

Further, she and the plan were so inept & corrupt, that it was CLOSED to enrollment in 2008.

Meanwhile… in Tennessee, all High School graduates are able to attend the first TWO years of college FREE of charge, and Adults are now able to attend Community and/or Junior College FREE because of the ABUNDANCE in the treasury from the state’s Lottery For Education.

Face it… Alabama sucks hind tit, and it’s corruption – legal and illegal – is KILLING the state, it’s people, it’s economy, and what remains of it’s future.
