Is God an Abortionist?

The Bible never mentions abortion.

It doesn’t suggest it, nor does it even hint at it.

The Bible doesn’t forbid prostitution.

In fact, there are many things the Bible doesn’t even mention.

But it does forbid eating pork, shrimp, oysters, mussels, clams, cheeseburgers, wearing clothing made with cotton/polyester blended  fabric, that a man should marry his brother’s wife if the brother dies before impregnating her, and several hundred other nonsensical rules, regulations and laws – almost all of which were religiously based upon ignorance.

At the time the Bible was written (approximately 4000 BC/BCE), there was no understanding of Germ Theory (1864). No one understood Bernoulli’s Principle (1783). In fact Bernoulli wasn’t even born then. No one understood the physics and principles of lift, low pressure, high pressure, or how weather systems occurred. Even the beer and wine that was made then was thought to have been made magically – as if it were some kind of mystical gift from the gods, a god, or the God. They had no idea – were literally clueless – that it was through fermentation, because microorganisms ate sugars and starches which then produced alcohol. And Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) wasn’t even a twinkle in his Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather’s eye.

For several thousand years the idea –  incorrect as it was – that the Sun revolved around the Earth was held to be true.

And in fact, it wasn’t until the late 16th Century that the heliocentric ideas espoused by Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler began to sway the geocentric model promoted by religious authorities, most notably Christian theologians.

There was literally no such thing as “science.”

Instead, there was only magic… and God.

The Age of Enlightenment (1650-1780) didn’t occur until several hundreds of years later. To say that was an age of pure ignorance would be an understatement of the greatest proportion.

And now, here we are in the year 2015. We have been to Earth’s Moon numerous times.

We have handheld computers – smartphones – that have more power in them than the entire computer system that sent man to the moon, and back.

We have sent remote spacecraft to Mars to explore that planet’s surface.

Wearing only a space suit with a parachute, man has jumped from a balloon floating at the edge of outer space, and safely landed upon Earth.

And yet we continue to believe falsehoods, lies, superstitions, fallacies, and more. (I write with particular emphasis upon the United States and Republicans. Although, there are some other nations – Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and a few other Islamic nations – where hard-line extremist religious conservatives such as the Taliban have have attempted to quash scientific discovery and freedom… just like radical right-wing religious extremists have in America.) But even worse perhaps, is the fact that in many ways we actually have seemed to have gone in reverse, to have stepped backwards and to promote false ideas, superstitions, fallacies, and more. Notably among them, the cessation of childhood inoculations.

For those whom do believe in an Almighty Being, they are told that Humanity is the Crowning Creation, a veritable diadem in the crown of the Almighty. And they are told that the Powers of Reason and Rationality are what set Humanity apart from every other Creature upon the face of the Earth.

So why is it then, that when it comes to Rationality, Reason and Understanding, that it seems in recent years, that Logic has flown out the window?

Who is the abortionist?

I happened to see this meme upon the Internet; perhaps you’ve seen it too.

And I delight in a challenge to anyone to answer this question which I’ve posed from Day One. As yet, no one has attempted to reply.

So, in my way of thinking, they’re deficient either logically or mentally.

Herein is my response to the meme:

“So when they die in utero, through no fault of their own, or of the mother, or of any other external source, that’s called an abortion – politely couched as a ‘miscarriage.’

“And if no human being caused it, then only God is to blame.

“God is the abortionist.

“Let’s talk about that for a while.”
