“Shadrack McGill.” Need I say more?

Shadrack McGill makes Alabama a laughingstock.

Or rather, it’s his wife who does so.

Of course, the state apparently don’t need that much help to appear as such, anyway.

FYI, the man in question – whose name is in the Google search below – is an Alabama State Senator from NorthEast Alabama – specifically, Scottsboro, which is not too far East from Huntsville (about a 30 minute drive) along US Hwy 72.

His district – #8 – includes DeKalb, Jackson & Madison counties.
Huntsville is the county seat of Madison county, and the state’s third most populous city.

Here’s his legislative web page.

Be CERTAIN to view the interview video & interview on Good Morning America.

Even our brothers & sisters in the United Kingdom are laughing.

Here’s the link to the original post, which is still up. (You may need to log in to your FB account to view it.)

He’s the same guy that around the second week of February last year infamously remarked at a a prayer breakfast in Fort Payne, AL that legislators’ pay should increase, but that teachers’ should not.

“He needs to make enough that he can say no, in regards to temptation. … Teachers need to make the money that they need to make. There needs to be a balance there. If you double what you’re paying education, you know what’s going to happen? I’ve heard the comment many times, ‘Well, the quality of education’s going to go up.’ That’s never going to happen, guys. It’s a Biblical principle. If you double a teacher’s pay scale, you’ll attract people who aren’t called to teach.”

FYI, he’s a Republican, and unseated the long-term Democrat Lowell Barron (whom has also recently been indicted), whom I have equally despised for quite some time.

And here’s a little something that you may, or may not remember.

Lowell Barron was the state Senator whom was cold cocked in the head on the Senate floor by Charles Bishop, another state Senator, after Barron called Bishop a SOB.

Here’s the CNN version, featuring an interview w Bishop afterward.

Here’s the Alabama Public Television version (which CNN used).

Concluding… to quote Senator McGill as he was interviewed by Huntsville Times writer Mark McCarter, “Lord, Lord. What the world has come to?”
