Lesley Stahl of CBS news program 60 Minutes recently interviewed Arnold Schwarzenegger for an episode which aired Sunday, September 30, 2012. Among the topics discussed in their broad-ranging interview was his term as California governor and his signature health reform law.

She read from Mr. Schwarzenegger’s recently published autobiography the following: “My plan improved on Mitt Romney‘s Massachusetts plan by strengthening the Individual Mandate.”

LS: “This was ObamaCare before ObamaCare.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger: “Forget ObamaCare! This is a principle that goes back hundreds of years. People need to be insured! So when you have an accident out there, or when something catastrophic happens to you, then you’re covered. And there’s not someone else who has to pay for you. It is as simple as that.”
