Is Speaker of the House John Boehner an alcoholic?

Posted by Warm Southern Breeze on Wednesday, January 5, 2011

On the June 30, 2010 edition of the MSNBC television show “Morning Joe,” featuring former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough, one of the guests was Jim VandeHei of the website Politico.com.

Here’s an excerpted exchange, in context.

Scarborough: Let’s talk about John Boehner for a second. I hear it on the hill, I’m sure you hear it on the hill all the time. It is not reported, but so many Republicans tell me this is a guy who is not the hardest worker in the world. After 5:00, 6:00 at night, he’s disengaged at best. You can see him around town. He is not — he does not have the work hours of Newt Gingrich.

VandeHei: The bigger knock is that people feel…

Scarborough: Let’s start with that knock, though. Nobody is talking about it. Every Republican says that John Boehner, by 5:00 or 6:00 at night, you can see him at bars. He is not a hard worker.

Consider for a moment the meaning behind the host’s phrase “disengaged at best,” particularly in conjunction with the location of said disengagement… “at bars.

Scarborough is undoubtedly being judiciously guarded in his speech.

In essence, what he’s saying is that John Boehner – now Speaker of the House of Representatives – is DRUNK by 5:00 or 6:00 at night.

  1. mr.john b. is nothing more than a power hungry brainless wonder… if you watch his reactions to just about anything,,,,, he appears to be in another world…. especially if he is sitting next too the president…. the thing that most annoyed me was his noticably FAKE TEARS at that meeting…. and his over sized mallot when nancy polecy handed it to him….. his reactions are quite bazzar.. his facial expressions are apparently in lala land or his mind is not reflecting the severity of the present situation….. his need for control and absolute power trying to play president is very un-nerving……. he has absolutely no concern for the hard working middle class…. i would tend to believe that the rest of his party has no guts to go against him for the betterment of this country…….. mr, john has no intention of settling this fiacal cliff mess…. all he wants is to keep his name and face on tv…. and keep his fantasy “big man” in the fore front…… i sincerely do believe that he has a mental, emotional and possibly bottle problem……….. his sh–eating grin at some of those meetings shown on the national news with the president…. makes me hope that the men in the little white coats are very near….so what is his disease that appears to make him look like he is drunk… where is the medical profession with their expertese on this junk diseast he says he has….

Hi BJ! Thanks for reading, and for sharing your thoughts. Greed. It’s all about the money. Greedy Old Party. Why else would Wall Street want to privatize Social Security? Problem gamblers deny they have problems, and will do anything to get the object of their desire – more money – simply so they can waste it upon their whims. So will Wall Street. They’ve proven it so time, and time again. And Speaker Boehner is simply a mouthpiece for a political party filled with people corrupted by money and power. And to be certain, there are a few of ’em in the Democratic party, as well. And for that reason, I support TERM LIMITATIONS on Members of Congress and Senators. A grand total of four 2-year terms in the House (4×2=8), and two 6-year terms in the Senate (2×6=12) for a combined total of 20 years (8+12=20) ought to be enough elected “public service” for anyone.
