"… there is no such thing as nothing."

“Drama.”

We like to watch it on teevee, but don’t understand how to handle it in our own lives. Problem is,

our lives aren’t “made for teevee” movies, and folks don’t stop acting when the Director says, “CUT!”

Our inherent sinfully selfish natures often impede our progress, wreaking havoc along the way.

When the Apostle wrote of “preferring one another in love,” he wasn’t just whistling “Dixie,” or past the graveyard!

Another way of expressing that same verse is: “Be devoted to each other like a loving family. Excel in showing respect for each other.” cf. Rom 12:10 (GWT)

Devoted… what a fascinating word! Excel… it’s NOT a software program. Respect… it’s not just an Aretha Franklin song.

• To be “devoted” means to be dedicated exclusively to a purpose or use.

• To “excel,” means to distinguish one self by superior actions.

• “Respect” is a courteous regard for people’s feelings.

No… walking that “high road” isn’t easy. But then, what thing worth having comes easy?

May blessings and peace through the knowledge of Christ our Saviour abound to you and yours!
