Sarah Palin… demands Rock Star Treatment

“Unopened bottled still water (2 bottles) and bendable straws are to be placed in or near the wooden lectern.”

“The private aircraft MUST BE a Lear 60 or larger (as defined by interior cabin space) for West Coast Events; or, a Hawker 800 or larger (as defined by interior cabin space) for East Coast Events and both are subject to the Speaker’s approval.”

“Customer agrees to provide the Speaker and party with accommodations of a pre-registered one-bedroom suite and two single rooms in a deluxe hotel as approved by WSB.”

“… all hotel accommodations are to be registered under an alias (to be provided by WSB prior to event date).”

“All photo opportunities will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be requested at firm invitation stage for Speaker’s approval.”

Those are excerpts of contractual terms of former Republican Alaska Governor, Sarah “Quitter” Palin – whom abandoned governance of the good people of Alaska to seek her fortunes in Hollywood – which have been unearthed in a trash dumpster.

Students at California State University did some dumpster diving to retrieve the documents, when they heard rumors that administrators might be shredding university documents related to Palin’s speech.

California state senator Leland Yee, D-San Francisco provided copies of Palin’s contract with the California State University, Stanislaus Foundation today (Tuesday, 13 April 2010).

The document dated March 16, 2010 does not contain details of Palin’s compensation, which among the speech-circuit faithful, commands $100,000.

Senator Yee made a public records request from the university related to Palin’s speech, which responded by saying they had no documents related to Palin’s appearance, and then referred the matter to foundation board president Matt Swanson. The following day, Mr. Swanson refused to reveal the information requested, and sent letters to Senator Yee and The Associated Press stating that Palin’s contract has a nondisclosure clause. However, he also mentioned that University foundations and other auxiliary organizations were not subject to the same public records requirements as the university itself.

The California State Attorney General’s Office in Sacramento received the documents from two of the students whom discovered the discarded contract, and is reviewing Senator Yee’s request for an investigation into allegations that the university violated the California Public Records Act.

Almost daily we listen to her trash talk (she is in the league with Quayle and “W”), all thanks to the man who now claims that he never called himself a maverick, McCain, right, tell us another. She spends her days trash talking it is only fitting that someone found a great place for her contract. I guess some dumpster diving found it, All’s Well That Ends Well.

A few thoughts (seemingly disjointed, though they’re not). When we saw the news of the bill she charged to the GOP for her and her family’s extravagant wardrobe when she was the GOP’s VP candidate – “I see your true colors shining through.”

There once was a term used to describe such. I believe it was “rabble-rousers,” which is defined as “a person who speaks with the intention of inflaming the emotions of a crowd of people, typically for political reasons.

“… of the people, by the people, and for the people…” NOT ‘of the few, by the privileged, for the elite.’ It should not be so that public servants should profit privately from their “service.”

I’ve held, and continue, that she’s a female version of Dubya… all hat, no cattle.
