Spam the Spammer
Posted by Warm Southern Breeze on Sunday, March 28, 2010
If you keep a blog, or if you have an e-mail account, you know what a headache it is to get such garbage in your inbox, or on your site.
I’m referring to spam… not the tasty mixed-meat-in-a-can which is apparently popular with Hawaiians, but to the automatically-computer-generated gobblydegook that purports to promote everything from pornography to cures for what ails you.
Following is an example of one such spam received here on this blog.

Quick Edit | Edit | Not Spam | Delete Permanently
Again, I’m posting this specifically for the purpose of demonstrating to you the utter nonsensical garbage that arrives in the inbox of this and other blogs.
Fortunately, one of the feature sof WordPress is Askimet, an anti-spam feature which prevents such nonsensical garbage from making its way onto the pages of this and other WordPress blogs.
So, before I deleted it, I copied and pasted it here for your benefit.
Seeing that its from a url named “foodstrainer,” it would only seem appropriate that this and other messages like it are called “spam”!
