Woud you pass the Amy Bishop buck, please?

Remember the old teevee commercial for Polaner All Fruit?
Folks attired in formal wear – tuxedos and evening gowns – were seated around a dining room table enjoying their prim and proper meal, when the camera focused on one fellow whom said with a distinctly hick-sounding country-twang, “Would you pass the jelly, please?” Whereupon, the gentlemen appeared shocked while the ladies seemed to faint.
The announcer then said, “Don’t dare call it ‘jelly’!”
William Delahunt, the Congressional Representative for Massachusetts’ 10th District, was the Norfolk District Attorney when Amy Bishop shot and killed her brother with a 12 gauge shotgun blast to his chest.
Recently Rep. Delahunt said, “I think that opportunity was missed, and that to me is a profound tragedy in this case.”
Well… DUH! You reckon?!
Bill, we have news for you. When you were District Attorney, you were the Chief Law Enforcement Officer. It was YOUR responsibility to 1.) investigate and, 2.) prosecute, if necessary, people accused by police of violating law.
YOURS, and yours alone!!
He added that, “I thought we handled it appropriately, given the information that we had.”
William I-let-Amy-Bishop-go-and-now-she’s-killed-again Delahunt, and his first Assistant Prosecutor John Kivlan defended their (mis)handling of Bishop’s fratricide case, and instead passed the buck onto the Braintree Police Department. Kivlan said, “There was no evidence to contradict at that time that it was an accident. That was the responsibility of the Braintree police department to do that.”
Strangely, however, Kivlan added that Amy Bishop should have been charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of ammunition.
Huh?
Does that sound like a contradiction, or does sound like a contradiction?
Messrs. Kivlan and Delahunt, would you please show us your forked tongue?
Turns out, that Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick has ordered state police to investigate how troopers conducted the Bishop case.
Prediction: Since there is no statute of limitations on murder, Amy Bishop will be charged with murder by Massachusetts state authorities.
Leonard’s Loser? Amy Bishop, and William Delahunt… whom Massachusetts voters should send home packing, post haste.
Oh… and don’t you DARE call it incompetency!
