“I am Dr. Amy Bishop!”
The IHOP iBitch!
“Biitch! Gimme that last highchair!”
Yet more weirdness from the UAHbomber!
Biology department-member-on-her-way-out, Dr. Amy Bishop, PhD, whom shot and killed three colleagues, wounding thee others during a faculty meeting, was charged with assault, battery and disorderly conduct in 2003.
The episode at a Peabody, MA International House Of Pancakes (IHOP), according to a police report and Peabody police Captain Dennis Bonaiuto, apparently went like this:
In March 2002, along with her family, Bishop walked into an IHOP restaurant in Peabody, MA. She asked for a booster seat for one of her children, and when she learned that the restaurant’s last booster seat had been given to another woman, became extremely angry. She then walked over to the woman to whom the seat have been given, demanded the seat, and began a profanity-laced tirade.
The woman refused to give up the booster seat, whereupon Bishop punched her in the head while screaming, “I am Dr. Amy Bishop!”
Bishop was charged with assault, battery and disorderly conduct, for which she received probation. Prosecutors recommended anger management classes for her, but court documents from the case were not clear whether she was ordered to attend.
Court documents identified her victim as Michelle Gjika, whom when interviewed, declined comment saying, “It’s not something I want to relive.“
